The hard-work that lasted for more than three years has culminated as a 224-pages long thesis with 3 research chapters (2 submitted to BMC Microbiology and Canadian Veterinary Journal, and one in preparation). Dr. Juan Jovel and Dr. Ewandson L. Lameu organized a Python workshop for beginners in collaboration with International Microbiome Center, Snyder Institute for Chronic Diseases, and the University of Calgary. They guided us through the basics of Python programming and helped us work with some basic problems. One step at a time!

I took a directed course on molecular epidemiology and evolution this winter (2023). A lot to learn on genome assembly and phylogenetics. We are learning tools such as blast, Geneious, and many more.
